Last year, 2009 was an unprecedented year for the economy around the world, and is said to be a one in a hundred year phenomenon that turned out even worse than expected.
This year we returned to our original objective from 107 years ago I. E. "To protect life, culture and property", and we will to continue to improve our management system and product line up.
In Japan "to get close to our customers" we increased the number of sales branches from 6 to 11 to strengthen sales activities.
We also combined the concepts of "Eco" "UD" and "Quality" into one mark to create the "EUQ" brand, to increase public awareness so customers will choose this mark.
Due to some terrible burst accidents of old fire extinguishers in Japan, some customers are uncomfortable with using fire extinguishers. This may have a bad effect on fire extinguishers sales in general. However, in response to this, we are changing from cartridge type portable fire extinguishers to pressurized (burstless) type so the customer can have a wider choice to select the safer and easier to use burstless type.
The number of visitors to our Training Center dramatically increased from the previous year. There is a full display of extinguishing systems and visitors said, "The Training Center gives an excellent opportunity for hands on experience of a full range of systems making it easy to understand them".
We will continue to provide all of these services so that we can improve safety of the society. We appreciate all your support and cooperation.
